Nikon Camera Profiles in Lightroom

Posted by in Lightroom, Lightroom How-To, Photo Editing

Did you know that Photoshop Lightroom has Nikon camera profiles built into its RAW rendering engine?  That’s right! The profiles that you know and love in the camera when you shoot JPG are also in Lightroom.  Now you can make your images look more like they did when you shot JPG and more what they look like on the back of the camera. Tucked away at the bottom of the develop section in Lightroom under Camera Calibration is a pull down that is called Profile, under that are all the old profiles you are used to including the old D2x ones.

Oh, by the way, Canon and Adobe Camera Raw is supported as well. The profiles are automatically introduced by the image data, so if you do not see your camera profiles, they are not supported yet.
